Pelargoniums are outstanding on the hill at this time of the year as the seeds are forming and there are many small bushes full of little seed pom-poms dotted around the landscape. As autumn comes, these seeds will detach themselves and be carried off by the wind.
Pelargoniums are indigenous to South Africa and many species have very similar flowers. I didn't get pictures of this particular species but the one below, commonly known as rose geranium is representative of the type.
Are these flowers like feathers too thin in the wind? As spores?
I see that there is a lot of similarity in some species, in our southern hemisphere.
Very nice pictures. Greetings @nikv.
Greetings @armonia!
The flowers aren't feathery. They look very similar to the flowers in the bottom picture.
Many plants from your continent are quite similar to ours because Africa and South America were once joined and we have similar rock and soil types
Awe the smart phone photography. Some of my favorite shots are accidentally on purpose. Very pretty . One would never guess they will soon become geraniums. 🐓🐓
wow, very nice shots here @nikv !!
what was the ISO of the camera you were shooting with??
Thanks. I was just using my smartphone on auto. Top picture was taken on a day of light drizzle and bottom photo taken at night with the flash off. 7W LED light outside nearby
Well, they came out quite nice that's for sure! Looks like these photographs were taken with an actual camera.... impressive
You can get away with a lot through learning the tricks of the tools on hand and my phone does have a pretty good camera
Woah! How many different flowers do you have near you? They are so unique too. I absolutely love the first one. My goodness, its like fairy floss. Its an upgrade from what we have here. We have dandelion and the seeds looks like this and its small. Bit smaller than an ping pong ball.

Natural grass biomes are very rich in different flower and grass species. This one has had a fair amount of human interference in that many tree species have gone and animal species like small buck, porcupines, hares and monkeys are missing but apart from alien invasive plant species that crowd out indigenous plant species, The plant diversity isn't too damaged. We have those dandelions too but they mostly grow in gardens. The hillside is too hot and dry for most non-indigenous plants, only those that are adapted to surviving there do
Beautiful flowers. I'm not a fan of white but they look awesome on those photos. I would love to see more of this @nikv. Thanks for sharing!
Hermosas flores :)
