Growing flowers in my garden

Every year my grandmother taught me to always plant flowers in our gardens. She said that way we could share with the Bees. I have every year even if all I can plant is a pot of flowers. Above are the marigolds I have kept the seeds for every year since grandma gave me the first almost 50 years ago. Many yearslater I found that a exudate from marigold roots kills root eating nematodes and protects the rest of the garden.

Petunia's in pots near the door. They were my mothers favorite flower and even though She passed away I still plant them for her and in her memory.

I also plant cosmos and zinnias everywhere I can
