This is a cafe called Cu Tun - a rather childish name in Vietnamese, haha in Vietnamese the name of the cafe is quite ugly and only old people can think of such an ugly brand name, but don't let the name make you ignore this cafe because the drinks of the cafe, in my opinion, are diverse and have their own flavors.
Cu Tun cafe really impressed me from the first time I came here and this time I came back I was even more overwhelmed. First of all, because of the menu with more than 200 different types of drinks, I really couldn't imagine that the cafe had so many strange and attractive drinks.
Before coming, I looked at the owner's Facebook and had already chosen a few drinks that I thought looked beautiful and delicious. Hahha I have a habit of looking at pictures of food, I have an endless passion for milk tea. However, when I came to the cafe and looked at the menu, I was completely stunned and didn't know what to choose, because there were so many new things that I had never tried.
At that time, I decided to ask the owner of the shop what new and delicious drinks she had. She introduced me to the black tea coffee with cheese cream. I am not really a coffee lover because I hate the bitter taste of coffee, and I don't know how to drink coffee. But I still asked the owner if people who can't drink coffee can try this drink. She immediately replied that even if you don't like coffee, you can still enjoy this drink. So I decided to try it.
Cu Tun Cafe not only has a rich menu but the space is also very ok. Two years ago, when I came to the shop, I only knew that the space was indoors, spacious and clean. However, this time I discovered that the shop also has a very large garden in the back, with nearly 20 seats, each with an umbrella, so I don't have to worry about the sun or rain. I decided to sit in the garden to have a comfortable space to compose videos and articles. Recently, I have been getting more freelance work such as creating and editing videos, the work is quite busy and sometimes makes me stressed, so I really like to find a spacious cafe with good drinks to focus on working.
However, I have to admit that the garden has low chairs, which is not really comfortable if you sit and work for a long time. I felt back pain after sitting for less than 30 minutes because the chairs and tables are quite low. This is a limitation, but in return, the garden space is very pleasant, with lots of trees and pebbles underfoot, creating a peaceful feeling. The shop is also decorated with many lanterns and red strings in the style of Tet. Some corners also have cotton trees, creating a very elegant and pleasant beauty.
In addition, the shop also has mirrors, which is really convenient because I rarely wear makeup, usually go to work with a bare face. So when choosing a cafe, I always look for a place with a large space and a hidden corner so I can sit alone without anyone noticing. The older I get, the more I want to live alone, not wanting to meet anyone, not wanting to be bothered. However, there is a downside that the shop is located in a residential area, and at certain hours, the neighbors sing karaoke quite loudly, which can make those who need quiet feel a bit uncomfortable.
Regarding prices, the teas and coffees at the shop cost from 30,000 to 45,000 VND, equivalent to about 1 USD to 1.7 USD, and include toppings (when drinking tea, we need to drink more toppings such as black pearls, white pearls, jelly, pudding, aloe vera, etc.). Usually, the above price includes some types of toppings. In particular, I want to share about the black tea coffee with cheese cream that I am drinking. This cup of tea is really beautiful, with a layer of brown coffee mixed with black tea on the bottom, and on top is a layer of cheese cream covered with a little coffee powder. When drinking, you have to shake or stir the salty cream layer on top to mix with the coffee flavor below. Its taste is very special, the coffee is fragrant, just a little bitter, and the cheese cream is rich, salty and sweet, blending together to create an extremely unique drink that I have never tried before.
After my back started to hurt, I decided to move inside. The indoor space is very cozy, with bookshelves and magazines. It’s a bit noisy inside, but the high tables and chairs are perfect for office work, so I don’t have to worry about back pain. The café also has an outdoor area with low chairs, ideal for gatherings with friends.
This cup of black tea coffee with cheese cream has a capacity of about 500 ml, you can drink it while working, waiting for the ice to melt and feel the wonderful flavor. Tea and coffee both have caffeine, are addictive and I have to admit that I was "addicted" to this drink from the first sip. This dish is not only delicious but also very suitable for those who are looking for an interesting drink to relax or work.
