Hi everyone! Today I am making a simple Brussels sprouts recipe that’s great as a main meal or as a delicious condiment. Vegetarians love this dish because of its nutritional value, but I love it because it’s quick and easy to prepare for myself or my guests.
The ingredients are easy to find too. You will just need:
1/4 white onion, chopped
500 grams trimmed Brussels sprouts
Salt, pepper, garlic powder or chopped fresh garlic, to taste
First, heat some olive oil in a pan until
it summers. Add the garlic then stir fry until fragrant. Put in the chopped onion and fry for 5 minutes, or until soft.
Add the Brussels sprouts and cook, without stirring, until one side turns golden brown, which should be around 5-7 minutes. Flip sprouts on the other side then cook for another 5-7 minutes. Season to taste.
Et voila! Now you have a delicious Brussels sprout dish you can be proud of! Bon apetit!

This really is the best way to prepare Brussels sprouts. A lot of people just tend to boil them until they're mushy and wonder why people don't like them.
Btw, it's also a good idea to cut the sprouts in half, the flat side wil be extra crispy.
Definitely one of my favorite vegetables, but that might just be because I'm Belgian :P
