Swike or Swikee is Chinese Chinese cuisine made from pahakodok. This dish can be found in the form of a dry, fried, or pan-fried soup. Originally this dish comes from the influence of Chinese cuisine that goes to Indonesia. The term "swikee" comes from the Hokkien dialect (水雞, Pe̍h-ōe-jī: súi-ke) sui (water) and to (chicken), which is a hose or refinement to refer to the frog as "chicken water". This food is usually associated with the Purwodadi region. [1] The main ingredients of this dish are the frog legs (generally from "green frog" or "frog ijo" (Jw.)) With garlic, ginger, dantauco, salt, and pepper spices. Served with a sprinkling of fried garlic and celery leaves on it, the swike is usually served with white rice.

Some argue that the taste and texture of the swike is a blend between chicken and fish. Generally only the thighs of frogs are made into swike, but the skin can be dried and fried into frog skin chips. How to cook another swike is "pepes kodok", boneless frog meat cooked in banana leaf wrapper as pepes.

In addition to Purwodadi, swike can also be found in various cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Bandung (one of the popular restaurant outlets are "Swikee Jatiwangi"), Yogyakarta, Semarang and Surabaya. Generally swike restaurants in Indonesia call themselves as a restaurant "Swike Purwodadi", "SwikeJatiwangi", and "Jo Kodok".

Indonesia is the world's largest exporter of toad legs, exporting more than five thousand tons of frog thighs annually, mostly to meet demands from France, Belgium and Luxembourg. [2] In the past the frog was obtained by hunting from nature, such as catching the fields, and the frogs are easy to find especially during the rainy season. Now there are several frog farming businesses to be exported to meet the demand of foreign markets, especially France.
