Reviving the tradition of Chinese hand-made bread during the Spring Festival
"Hua Muh" is a hand-made Chinese bread with beautiful decorations during the Spring Festival throughout China. People in northern China keep the tradition of cooking this kind of bread during the Spring Festival because it holds their wishes for next year.
Hong Xiang Guo, is a craftsman baked in east China's Shandong province, and Kong works to do many designs for "Hua Mah." Dough and jujube is the main ingredient of this bread. Kong uses scissors, knives and days to create many designs. He can earn about $ 1,500 by selling bread to Beijing and other cities on the Spring Festival holiday.
Hua Mohe originates in northwest China's Shanxi Province, a snack for the general public since the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912). In 2008, HuaMoH was included in the list of intangible cultural heritage at the national level.
