Now This Would Be Very Interesting To Write About:
This is my first post for a short series of American cooking posts.
My American friend wished to share what he eats on a daily basis and I am leaning so much. The first meal he cooked was homemade lasagna which is one of his favorite "Italian dishes".
He documented the steps of his preparation:
As He never follows a recipe, choosing to cook from instinct and taste. so i could understand what he did to prepare his meal. First, of course he went to the store to purchase the ingredients he would use. He chose to shop at the world's largest retailer, Walmart and shop in their grocery section.
- He bought ground hamburger, noodles, various cheeses such as ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan, fresh tomatoes, diced onion, canned diced tomatoes, and spices such as red, white and black pepper, and parsley.
DIRECTIONS:
- He began by browning the beef and boiling the noodles. To the cooking beef he added his spices, and tomatoes.
- After the noodles were boiled then cooled,he took a large baking dish to begin layering the ingredients to build his signature lasagna.
- Once completed he baked his creation for 1 hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- To accompany his lasagna he"cheated" as he calls it and bought pre-made 5 cheese
- Texas toast to heat in the oven and he paired both with fresh pizza.
Here Are the Step By step Pictures which explain more than words:

Too bad you don't live down the block from me, otherwise I'd swing by for supper. Lasagna isn't a noodle? Then what the heck is it? A mammal?
