Chicken kosha || Chicken in rich gravy || Spicy dry chicken || Bengali Kosha Murgir Mangsho
“Chicken kosha” is a Bengali nonveg preparation that involves cooking with little water and lots of oil. It is semi dry, spicy dish and goes well with parantha/pulao or roti. In order to cook this one need to be patient. The process of ‘koshano’ defines this dish as slow cooking in oil without water. This one is a version of “kosha mangsho’ with chicken whereas the mutton version is also very famous.

Green chilli-5gm
Mustard oil-50gm
Ghee-5 gm
Salt-25gm
Sugar-5gm
Turmeric-10gm
Cumin powder-10gm
Coriander powder-10 gm
Garam masala powder- 5 gm
Red chili powder-5gm
Kashmiri red chili powder-5 gm
Yogurt-50gm
Bay leaves-2 pieces
Dry red chili-2 pieces
Cinamon-2 pieces
Cardamom-3 pieces
Clove-3 pieces
Curd-100gm
