🌿 Green Smoothie Of The Day: Moringa, Passion Fruit, and Kiwi Blast 🌿

Good morning steemit! Another wonderful tropical day on my side of the world. Though we are quite used to the tropical temperatures, we can't wait to move back to the coast. Our short trip to Kampot and Kep (Cambodia) made us realize that's not only more beautiful down there but also a few degrees colder and it rains more.

Here in Siem Reap it's 7 am and already well above 32C or 89.5F. A bit too much for us. To be honest, I like my morning a bit cooler and less sweaty... Luckily I made popsicles yesterday evening. Those will keep us cool today. I'll share the recipe later.

Ingredients (serves 2)

2 cups coconut water
2-3 passion fruit
1 small frozen banana
2 kiwi fruit
1/2 avocado
1/2 carrot
1 cup spinach
1 cup fresh moringa leaves (or more spinach and moringa powder)
1/3 cup soaked cashew nuts
Hemp hearts (topping)
Goji berries (topping)

Green-smoothie-3.jpg

Directions

  1. Blend coconut water, moringa, and spinach until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend again. If the smoothie is too thick add more coconut water or water. If you have a high-speed blender you can throw in everything at once.
  2. Top with hemp hearts and goji berries if you like (optional).

Have a happy and healthy week ✨ ✨ ✨

Thanks for the great smoothy recipe - the Moringa is a very powerful plant

Looked it up and found..

What are the health benefits of Moringa leaves?

  • Antioxidants Galore. Moringa leaves are rich in antioxidants, including vitamin C, beta-carotene, quercetin, and chlorogenic acid.
  • Lower Blood Sugar Levels.
  • Reduce Inflammation.
  • Maintain Healthy Cholesterol Levels.
  • Protect Against Arsenic Toxicity.

It sure is my fav plant in the garden and one of the most nutritious ones mother earth provides. Thanks for sharing this powerful info with us ;)

I have been year ago in Siem Reap - it's great, so much to see.

Nice smoothie. Few weeks ago I started to care about food I eat. At this moment it's to hard for me to change my whole food habits, but still I eat much more healthier.

Great to hear that you are making an effort to eat more healthy. Siem Reap is beautiful (well the Angkor temples are) but after 1.5 years we decided to move back to the coast. Too busy here. Thanks for dropping by.
