Ingredients.
- 200 grams of minced pork.
- 5 carrot slices.
- 1 shallot (finely chopped).
- 1 head of cabbage.
- 1 bunch of green onions.
- Salt, sugar and black pepper.
Instructions.
- Combine minced pork with shallots, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoons sugar and black pepper. Mix well and set aside for about 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Meanwhile, prepare the cabbage: Remove the hard core, make a shallow cut at the end of each leaf. Blanch the bigger leaves for about 1 minute till ready to be used as wrappers.
- Blanch the onion leaves in boiling water for about 10 seconds to wilted, rinse well.
- Scoop 1 tsp of the fillings and place on a cabbage leaf, nearer to one end. Roll up the filling until you reach the center of the cabbage leaf. Fold both sides in, and then continue to roll up until the other end. Tie up the roll with one green onion string.
- Pour 4 cups of water or chicken broth in a pot and bring to a boil, add cabbage rolls, carrots. Wait till is the boilling about for 1 minutes, turn lower the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
