That is going to be a massive collapse in yields, no matter what you or I or anyone does about it
of course governments are mitigating as much as they can, and you can always shift to make food using different areas and supply chains and methods etc, but it doesn't mean you can prevent a famine in the short term
- There will be no planting season in Ukraine this year
- There is a phosphate fertiliser shortage because of what's going on in China
- Global nitrogen fertiliser shortage because of natural gas prices
- Russia and Belarus combined are the world's largest pot ash producers
