Beverly Hills High school was in our sports league and I had friends there. The Breakfast Club movie comes to mind and the song Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
I was wondering why someone your age would mention 90210. I’ve been abroad since 2006, so I didn’t realize (until just now) the Beverly Hills, 90210 show from my era had been revived.
I don’t want to mislead you, I was all over the map in every style and culture though, including the surly and lugubrious.
You’re reminding me that according to some comments from others back then, my face may conjure up Emilio Estevez (Breakfast Club actor) and Michael J. Fox so maybe that triggered your association to that show:

I sure do miss the climate of California and those gobsmacked ribs remind of all the great restaurants. Maybe I need to do it again on a motorcycle but my gf can’t get a visa.
