Hi everyone's today we shall talk about how to make a morning Metabolism Booster Smoothie.
Though I typically live a ketogenic lifestyle, but every once in a while I still like my carbs and I'd like to get them from my fruits.
So I'm going to break down this super simple digestive benefits smoothie for you.
Let's get started!!!!
Ingredients Needed:
• Frozen Strawberry.
• Almond Milk.
• Cinnamon.
• Ginger.
• Turmeric .
Step 1:
First load two cups of frozen strawberries into the blender, why frozen over fresh?
Because believe it or not frozen strawberries actually retain their mineral and nutrient values significantly better simply because they're frozen right after their pit so they're not oxidized.
Two cups in super simple.
Step 2:
Add in a cup and a half to two cups of unsweetened almond milk; super important that you get one that is carrageenan free.
Carrageenan is a derivative of red seaweed extract and it ends up being very inflammatory and is actually used in clinical settings to induce inflammation.
So make sure your almond milk does not have carrageenan.
Step 3:
Now simply add a teaspoon and a half of cinnamon; what this is going to do is it will help negate the effects of the carbohydrates that are in this smoothie; meaning it's going to help reduce the blood sugar a little bit more.
Step 4:
Next up add one tablespoon of freshly grated ginger the reason I'm using freshly grated ginger over powdered ginger is simply because when it's still in its fresh state you have a lot more in the way of the actual phytonutrients and a lot more in the way of the enzymes that actually help the digestive system.
So this is definitely going to kick start your day get the enzyme activity going and help aid in digestion.
Step 5:
Lastly we have purathrive turmeric, now you can use any other turmeric but I prefer purathrive just because it absorbs a lot better as it is a liquid form of turmeric.
Now just pump in 5 to 6 drop, now what this turmeric is going to do is, it will act as a liposomal way of potentially modulating some inflammation within the intestinal tract.
This means if you're someone has a leaky gut or you're dealing with that kind of situation it can help you out a lot.
Final Step:
Nothing super fancy just pop on the lid and blend it.
So there you have it a morning detox smoothie; this will help you not only maintain your blood sugar and insulin levels but help you out with digestion.
And using that ginger and turmeric will help you out with that leaky gut issue.
