PUMPKINS, APPLES AND PEARS are all around so the baking season is here and now! Nothing beats the tempting smell of apples and cinnamon on a winter day. This is an easy applecake, moisty, light and fresh so let's get baking!
Ingredients:
175 gram butter(room temperature)
175 gram sugar
175 gram flour
5 gram baking powder
3 eggs
4-5 apples in thin slices
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease and flour a 22 centimetre round cake tin. Mix butter and sugar with an electric mixer to a light and fluffy mixture. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sieve flour and baking powder and fold it into the mixture. Peel the apples, cut in thin slices and divide in 2 batches. Spread half the mixture in the bottom of the cake tin and cover with half the sliced apple. Add the rest of the mixture and cover the top with the second batch apple slices in a nice wheel pattern. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Check with a skewer, insert and it should come out clean.
Hmmm, tasty!
