Welcome everyone in this beautiful day!π
I NEVER ATE THIS BEFORE WITH LENTILS! So yea, this was my first time when I tasted them and I can tell you that they are really tasty! ππ
For preparing portion for 3 people you will need:
- one glass of sifted flour (I used special for dumplings)
- 1/3 cup of warm water
- a half tsp of curcuma (for colour)
- sprinkle of salt
For preparing filling you will need: - one cup of soaked lentils (I soak them for 9 hours)
- a half onion
- cup of hot water
- two tbsp of oil
- two garlic cloves
- parsley
- soy sauce (as much as you want)
- one tsp of balsamic vinegar
- a bit of lime juice (or lemon)
Spices - himalayan salt
- ground pepper
- cucruma
- xylitol
- cumin (optional)
First of all, we need to start preparing our filling:
- into the pot add oil, chopped onion and start lightly frying it.
- add soaked lentils, cup of water, spieces and lime juice. Start boil it uder cover about 20 minutes
- after that time, add parsley and crushed garlic cloves, mix everything
- Into bowl add flour, add salt and in the middle make hole like in the picture
- gently add mixed water with curcuma
- then add oil into it
- by hand start mixing dough
- take the dough out of bowl and put on the table (it is more comfortable)
First of all it's more comfortable, if you'll form dough in little balls, then roll them on table. Add your filling on it, fold it in half and stick ends together. Otherwise during boil all filling will out of dumplings! And we don't want that situation!π
- ready dumplings put in boiled water with oil (it will prevent sticking dumplings to each other) and wait till dumplings swim out.
I hope you guys enjoy my post!
Lots of love for you!πππ

That looks YUM! :D Lentils are so versatile. I love them. :) I included them also in my entry for this weeks entry: https://steemit.com/food/@alinalisa/steemit-culinary-challenge-38-simple-healthy-vegan-lentil-apple-salad
Your take on lentils is really great. I never had polish food before. But I know a few things and these polish dumplings are for me the most interesting ones. :)
Really good post with good instructions @babettxx! I wish you good luck for the challenge! ;)
Oh Thank You very much! It's nice to hear that you like them! You should try them in home! It's really simple to preparing but most time you will spend to make and gluing them, always when I made them my mom and my siblings are helping me :D But I think that time is worth it. :) Your salad looks also very good and tasty! But I didn't try combination lentils and apple! π² Now I have recipe so I will try this salad :) Good luck for you too! β€οΈ
