That is french? I didn't know that. This is a very traditional german way to make fried meat - mainly pork. Minus the Soy sauce of course. It is the way how the famous german Schnitzel is usually made, and also the Vienna Schnitzel. Except that there is one stage missing: after applying salt and pepper on the meat, it is first first rolled in wheat flour before putting it in the egg. This is to preserve the spices from getting washed off in the egg.
