My Bentgo Product Review
Hey guys it’s beleg and I’m back with another post, this time with a product review. If you guys remember, last week I had put up a post about my meal prep for work using my new bento style lunch box made by Bentgo? Well in that post I had promised a product review on the lunch box, and here it is.
To start off the lunch box is made entirely of plastic and is designed with multiple configurations for versatility and ease of storage. The bottom of the lunch box is open without any dividers and is a slightly lighter shade of blue than the top section. Between the top and bottom sections is a divider that also is used to house the plastic ware that comes with the lunchbox, which is a spoon, fork, and knife.
Moving on up, we get to the top section, which is slightly smaller than the bottom section and is a slightly darker shade of blue than the bottom. Another difference is that the top is divided into two even sections to help divide your foods and help with the portioning for the bento. Next we have the lid which is thicker, I am assuming this is to help insulate the lunchbox some, and there is also a gasket built into the lip of the lid to help seal the box and keep it from leaking. Lastly we have the grey elastic strap that holds everything together, and also has a plastic buckle with their logo on it to help hide where the band is sewn together, and helps to improve the look of the box.
The lunchbox can be compacted down by placing the top section inside the bottom section and then placing the divider and lid on respectively making it easier for storage. As far as its ability to be microwaved, only the top and bottom sections can be microwaved, not the divider or the lid or the elastic band. I am happy to say that it has held up well when I have reheated my meals following this guideline. I am also happy to say that is cleans up very easily and does not retain a soapy taste after washing in really hot water like some plastics.
To put my experience with this lunchbox into a single sentence, I would have to say that I am very pleased with the product and its performance and would recommend it to someone looking for a compact lunchbox.
