Up Roaring Grocery Prices

in #food7 years ago

I grew up in the 1990s when we could go to the grocery store get meat, produce, dairy, fresh fruits and vegetables.
I grew up in a time were only my dad had to work, and my mother could stay home with us kids. I grew up when milk was less then a $1 a gallon, meet was under a $1 per lb. We could buy tomatoes for $0.25 per lb. We could have an abundance of food for a family of 5 for less then $100.00 per month.

I am now married with 2 kids and we are lucky to make it through the month with 900.00 spent on groceries and my kids are still little. We spend roughly $600.00 on food and $300.00 on odd and ends like laundry detergent. I have noticed for a box of laundry detergent we now spend $15.47, back in 1990's it was less then $10.00 for the same box.

I think that grocery prices are way too expensive for what you get now days. Watch and see they will start making the cart smaller.

Everything is so expensive mainly because the value of the dollar isn't what it used to be. With The Supply Of Currency Going Through The Roof Because They Never Stop Printing Money. With Less People Using It Also Due To Crypto That Even Makes The Value Worse. At Some Point The Two Need To Get Along And Work Something Out!

Best To Garden And Grow Your Own...Am I Right?

Gardening Is A Great Idea I think Too.

Everything is so expensive these days. Though I grew up in the 80's and I go shopping with my parents on weekends and I know what the price says then and now.
