There are 3 rules of making sweets; Firstly they must be freshly baked. Next, each order must be packed as it is ordered. Finally, the tarts must be left to cool before eating. These are the rules according to "BAKE".
I spotted this pop-up store in downtown Bangkok, and I also spotted the line of 20-30 people waiting to buy. Then I looked around me and saw various people biting into these delicious looking treats, and my curiosity was peaked. I would have to try them. It was a simple 3-person operation, all visible to the public. One member was doing the baking and prep out the back, while at the counter there was another packing and one operating the cash register...and they were killing it.

Its all about presentation, bright colours and packaging make the treats look irresistible. There are also large screens showing the process and principles of "BAKE" from the ingredients they choose, through to the way they are made, packaged and eaten. Its all very slick marketing.

SO HOW DID THEY TASTE?
Pretty darn good. The texture and flavour was not unlike a cheesecake and the biscuit base was crisp and fresh. They were light and fluffy on the inside and just browned on the top to perfection. They weren't a revelation or unlike anything I had tasted before, but they tasted clean, fresh and delicious and, and I would definitely go back for more. I didn't get to try the chocolate flavour today, so maybe next time..lets see!
