Braised rice is a simple but delicious recipe rice, very rich in nutrition, it only requires 4 ingredients to prepare this tasty meal.... I bet you a try would convinced you.
Ingredients
- 100g rice (long grain)
- 185ml white stock (preferably chicken)
- 25g chopped onion
- 50g butter
Method
1.Place 25g butter in pan.
2.Add the onion.
3.Cook gently colouring for two (2) minutes.
4.Add the rice.
5.Cook gently without colouring for three (3) minutes.
6.Add the stock to rice.
7.Season, cover and bring to boil.
8.Place in a hot oven for approximately 15 minutes, until cooked.
9.Remove immediately into a sauce pan and mix in the remaining butter.
10.Correct the seasoning and serve.
Note: There are many variations of pillaf that could be made with addition of cheese, mushroom, peas and pimento, diced ham and others.
