Hi Friends,
My wife and kids were in the area I work for a doctor’s appointment last night, and, as a reward for Jacob being good during his appointment, I took the family out to dinner afterward.
We went to an upscale burger chain named The Counter, which I am a fan of. Jacob is a fan on this place too, as they have some cheesy tater tots with bits of bacon on them that he loves to eat. So of course, we had to have that as an appetizer:
I ordered a ½ pound burger with some great toppings – grilled onions, roasted red peppers and fresh jalapenos, and more. This was a delicious burger for sure!
I know I live in a high cost of living area so prices on things are generally higher than other areas of the country, but I did feel the price of my burger was excessive - $15.50 before tax (10%) and tip (18%), so really it is a $20 burger when those things are factored. I believe this is the most expensive burger I’ve ever eaten – it was certainly good, but I can probably make the same thing for a fraction of the cost at home.
A good night out, but a reminder why we usually eat at home…
Thanks for stopping by today,
Brian
Very cool. It looks like you guys had a great evening. Happy Friday Brain.
Really expensive...I can can eat with my whole family to spend 20$ on any restaurant in my country. Anyway it's a special burger and can't be compare with normal restaurants. Have a great dinner sir.
