Hey, @papa-pepper. I is so good to see your children enjoying the Asian Persimmon. Growing our own food and trying new things can be an exciting adventure. I don't know about the US customs but other countries will allow you to get a permit for import other plant species as long as they aren't considered invasive. The plants need to be inspected and such before they can be released to you. It might be worth looking into.
