RE: The sorry story of salt, and how we got fooled, again!

in #food8 years ago

When I was In East Timor, in the New Years Eve, I notice that all the people came to celebrate near the sea (beautiful party) :).
In the morning everybody goes to the salt mines near the beach and carry about six Kilos each (women and children) up to the mountains and very distant villages, and it has to last the whole year or they will die.
I don't use salt at home because everything I buy already have enough salt.

Yes, if you are eating pre-prepared foods, there will usually be enough salt already.

Nice story from East Timor, backing up what Weston Price found.

Yes only in winter (now in Portugal) with a little help of steemit, hehe, less time to make food, because in Spring I can go back to my biological food.
I'm in love forever with East Timor :) and this 2 months of my life teaching and going around all the island and eating delicious food that never knew what chemicals are.
The friendly and bravest people I ever met in my life.

That sounds like a wonderful experience.
