I baked lemonade scones. If you know anything about me I love food. What I don't love is spending hours in the kitchen cooking. This folks is my go to recipe when Im suddenly craving devonshire tea. Or for those unannounced visitors. These make me out to be a domestic goddess. 20ish mins start to finish.
☆☆☆*LEMONADE SCONES☆☆☆
300ml full fat cream
300ml lemonade (Pop, SPRITE brand doesn't matter just needs to be fizzy)
4 cups self raising flour
Pinch salt
Add liquids to flour and salt.
Mix until combined.
Turn and roll out.
Cut into desired shape
Cook 10 mins 180°c.
Server with jam and cream. !
Recipe can be halved and doubled.
Looks good, does it matter what type of Lemonade you use? I've got some cheap stuff around but don't think that'd work too well
nah as long as its fizzy it doesn't matter, its the carbonate that makes them rise, i'm too lazy to do it the traditional way of rubbing butter into flour.
I'm lazy cough efficient lol
Hey Courtz,
This is also my go to recipes too! I love it because I don't have to rub it all in using butter like the other traditional way.
The best thing about these lovelies are when they first come out of the oven and you spread plenty of pure butter straight on top!!!
Oh my goodness! I think I have the need to make some tomorrow!!! Thanks for the food inspo!! 😍
