Hi folks,
Sitting in a thunderstorm listening to music.
So someone asked for my breadroll recipe which I will gladly oblige.
I usually make mine in my thermomix but not everyone has one so sorry folks unless you have a machine that can knead you
are pretty much going to have to knead it by hand.
So here it is.
Bread Roll Recipe.
Makes 6 bread rolls.
Ingredients
220 ml tepid water.
1 and a half teaspoons of dried yeast
375g of flour
pinch of salt.
Method.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Put water in a bowl then add the yeast flour and salt and combine until you have a dough.
Then take the dough and place on a lightly floured surface, now at this time I usually have this in my machine and the dough is very sticky.
So really don't overdo the extra flour, and gently knead your dough gently for around six minutes until you have a small ball of dough and all the air is out of it, if you have a machine to knead the dough six minutes is also a good time in the machine.
Remove the dough and place in a bowl and oil the bowl to stop sticking but use the oil sparesly.
Leave for an hour in a warm spot to prove, the dough should double in size. Once proved knock the air out of the dough
and divide equally into six pieces, then form into a roll shape (Don't worry if they look small) then on a lined baking sheet put the rolls side by side in twos and they all should be slightly touching.
Cover with a teatowel and leave for another hour to double in size.
Once doubled in size place in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown on the top, you can put milk on the top too.
If you add extra oil to the bowl then your dough will be more oily and your rolls will become more crispy on the outside.
Take out and leave to cool and enjoy.
These are so easy and I make them every day, I hope you enjoy them, let me know how they turned out.
