Ingredients
✅5 kg green papaya
✅2,5 Kg of white sugar
✅1 tbsp. Of bicarbonate
✅ Smells of taste
✅A cup of water (a small cup of coffee)
preparation:
Remove the shell from the papaya and cut it into thin slices, spread on a tray, sprinkle with baking soda and leave until the next day.
They can also be spread and left in the sun for a day, so they stand firm, and skip the baking soda.Place the papaya in a large pot, add the sugar and add a little water, (about 4 fingers of the pot) add brads to taste and let it cook slowly until the papaya crystallizes. The fruit releases a lot of liquid so you will not need more water.
Let cool, even warm serve in glass jars or a large container.
