Food and Nutrition Awareness | Common Foods Help Prevent Cancer

Cancer has a variety of causes, including malnutrition, exposure to toxins, nutritional deficiencies, and some degree of inheritance. A very important way to prevent and/or treat cancer is nutrition, by eating nutrient-rich foods and avoiding things that are known to increase the risk of cancer. But for many people, using modern food systems often looks great. The components of super-processed foods are blamed on health, that can cause cancer, diabetes and also plays the major role in kidney malfunctioning and bone loss. It just adds to the confusion and sometimes even the way we cook other healthy foods, it can be a big cause to produce cancer in body.

Unfortunately, there is need to force food manufacturers to produce food with ingredients that will not cause cancer, until then we need to avoid the worst foods and choose anti-cancer foods. Researchers have been aware of the dangers associated with some unhealthy habits and carcinogenic foods for decades, while others have simply become possible causes.

To overcome this disease, many cancer patients have been fortunate enough to use natural cancer treatment in combination with conventional medical treatments. Today, the initial combination of chemotherapy and nutritional therapy can save the lives of thousands of cancer patients. Such dueling can help support the whole body and mind in the healing process, which is sometimes long and very difficult. Of course, when it comes to cancer prevention, more research is still needed.

The 2010 EPIC survey on dietary factors associated with increased cancer risk showed a significant relationship between cancer risk and some low-nutrition intakes. Survey data published by the European Journal of Cancer show that there is a negative correlation between vitamin C intake, carotenoids, retinol, alpha-tocopherol and fiber, and the overall risk of cancer is higher. Natural foods on the local market can be used to destroy cancer cells and cause cancer cells.

Along with other relatives of the onion family - such as onions, leeks and garlic contain powerful antioxidants, such as allicin, which has been shown to eliminate free radicals from the body. Green Tea

Catechins found in green tea have become the best food which in research found that can fight against cancer. Green tea is more resistant to free radical damage than vitamin C. In some research works, this lovely drink has been shown to reduce existing tumors and inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

Strawberries

Strawberries are tasty, delicious fruit. Many types of researches are conducted on it and concluded that strawberries can reduce the speed of cancer cell growing, defend the body from heart attacks, reduce inflammation, prevent memory loss, and help burn body fat.

Tomatoes

Everything is related to lycopene, an antioxidant that makes red tomatoes color. This antioxidant is more powerful to reduce or stop the building of different types of cancer.

You have to be careful with tomatoes because it is not suitable for people with acid reflux problem.

Thanks for writing such an interesting post! Actually I would like to add that Cancer is attributed to lifestyle and practices around us as well :)

Ofcorse changing dietry patterns and lifestyle has accelerated the rate of cancer but we can avoid it if these foods can be added to your diet regularly.

If you add only garlic to your daily diet you will avoid so many diseases. Indirectly, you will be saving lots of medicine bills.

I think we all could eat a little bit better, at least I know that I could stand to eat more nutritious foods and exercise more. Knowing your family history and whether or not anyone in your family has had cancer could help in preventing cancer because you can get the necessary screenings done by your doctor. Garlic, Ginger and Onion are commonly used in my region and they are super foods in my point of views. Scientific studies have proved great results of these vegetables in preventing many diseases.

I agree with you on those foods being amazing for disease prevention. I use ginger and garlic in many dishes that I make for my family and I love putting ginger in green tea to take with me to work. I always feel off if I don't get my ginger tea, I feel like I have less energy during the day. Great suggestion!

Fight against cancer, for me, has been the fight about eliminating free radicals in the body. I've known of garlic and potatoes for years as effective in dealing with that.

Yes i forgot to mention that garlic is the other fruit i find readily available aside lime. I think even my 2 year old now knows how to eat raw garlic. Thank you for good content, it is rich with information.
