I see artichokes as some kind of mystic meal. My family made them once when I was about 8 years old and living elsewhere, so everytime artichokes get mentioned, I instantly flash back into those times in the foggy mountain where my mom loved to experiment with meals.
I was surprised the first time I noticed the pattern last time, when you talked about strong water. Now I'm not so surprised but I still find it very interesting that you choose a topic and then just wander through the interesting bits about it. It's very refreshing and nice to see, especially when you just want to talk about random anecdotes :P
The history surrounding artichokes is pretty interesting, by the way. Whole mafias surrounding the production of just one meal. I didn't have any idea that any meal could be so significant. I guess this will add to the future mysticism of artichokes every time I hear about them, lol.
