We Filipinos are food lover. Lots of food everywhere. Restaurants always in demand. We just love eating! Well these are some of the Filipino dishes i guarantee you would love to try:
ADOBO - Typically pork or chicken, or a combination of both, it's slowly cooked in soysauce, vinegar, cooking oil, crushed garlic, bay leaf and black peppercorns.
AFRITADA - Chicken and/or pork and potatoes, carrots, green peas cooked in tomato sauce.
KALDERETA - A dish made with cuts of pork, beef or goat with tomato paste or tomato sauce, carrots, potato, bell pepper with liver spread added to it. My father cooks this really good!
BICOL EXPRESS - A stew made from long green chilies, coconut milk, alamang (shrimp paste) or daing (dried fish), onion, sliced or cubed pork meat, and garlic. This should be spicy hot. You can add more red chilis too if you want.
SINIGANG - A sour soup/stew made with pork meat, beef or seafood, mixed with a variety of vegetables such us okra, kangkong, tomato, radish. ). Any sour fruit such as tamarind, unripe mango and pineapple is usually used as the souring agent. You will love this!
We all have different way of cooking this dishes but one thing is for sure you gonna love it when you try it! Love love xxx
