First of all I would like to tell you that I am a pasta lover. My husband to be lived in Italy for the past 13 years so he taught me how to make delicious pasta. Today he shared with me one of his favorite recipe: Salmon Farfalle.
Ingredients for 8 people:
6 tablespoons of butter
1/2 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons of flour
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
2 cups of skimmed milk
1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of frozen peas (optional)
280 grams of smoked salmon
1 pack of farfalle pasta
Preparation:
Put the pasta in the boil for eight to ten minutes and drain it (depending on the pasta you use, follow the instructions on the packaging, the whole pasta need a slightly higher boiling time than the white ones).
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sow the onion, finely chopped, until it softens. Add the two tablespoons of flour and garlic powder to the onion and gradually pour the milk. Let the composition boil, and when it's close to the boiling point, add the Parmesan cheese. Mix until it melts. Add the peas and cook the sauce on a small fire for about four to five minutes. At the end, add the salmon, cut the strips, mix and leave on fire one to two minutes.
Pour the sauce over pasta, mix them and serve them warm with a salad! Because the ingredients are for eight people, it's a good idea to make salmon farfalle when you have guests for lunch or dinner.
Enjoy!
