Matcha is wonderful. Prepared traditionally or with fancier recipes it's delicious. For me it provides a more steadier energy boost than coffee. This recipe is super simple and has yet to fail.
Ingredients
1 cup regular soy/almond/cashew milk (cow's milk works too)
1 tsp matcha powder
1 - 2 tsp cane sugar or equivalent sweetener
Process
If you have access to a blender or smoothie maker it will greatly assist in combining the ingredients. If you do not have access to a blender then I suggest you combine a bit of the matcha powder with a small amount of water and create a paste. This can be more easily incorporated into the milk.
- Combine all ingredients and blend or whisk until the matcha is fully incorporated. You want to blend enough create a fine crema that floats to the top once the mixture rests. Careful not to over blend cow's milk.
- Pour the mixture over a few ice cubes and enjoy.
