Orach belongs to the Artiplex genus, which consists more than 250 different species of plant that possess unique qualities. However; its salt storing ability in the leaves is a very rare concept, which in turn allows orach to grow in highly saline environments, where most plants cannot survive.

It is found in the parts of Australia, North America, South America and Eurasia in subtropical temperature climates. It consist numerous nutrients. The taste of certain varieties is very tangy, similar to chard; other varieties are more pleasant and can be used in similar functioning as spinach or other green veggies. Conversely, the plant does have certain recovery popularity owing to its unique mineral, vitamin and organic compounds that are beneficial to maintain human health.

Orach possess certain levels of vitamin C, vitamin K, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, iron, carotenes, protein, anthocyanins, zinc, selenium, tryptophan and other dietary fiber, all of which are beneficial for human health in numerous ways.
