Balitong.... our dinner for tonight!

in #food5 years ago

Just bought it from the morning market.

Rhys was curious of what creatures they are. So, he took one out of the basket and watch it moving around and doing some actions.

Balitong is a species of sea snail commonly found in muddy coastal areas. It grows to around 5–6 cm. It is used as a food in Southeast Asia.

I will always fry those with ginger, garlic and chilli. We need to suck the back and front to get the snail coming out from the shell. It is an enjoyable moment when you have it with friends while chitchating.
