Strolling through Lambertville, New Jersey, we were looking for a place to have either a bagel or pastry for breakfast and that's when we stumbled upon Chez Alicé. Located right on Bridge Street, this patisserie was a wonderful find as I didn't feel like I was in New Jersey anymore while inside. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a chocolate croissant, which is one of my favorite pastries. When I lived in Monmouth County, I would always pick one up after church at Panera Bread.

Even though I opted for a coffee, this shop offers many tea options, including French Garden Herbal Tea, Mademoiselle Rose Green Tea, City Of Lights Black Tea, French Blue Earl Grey Tea and Citrus Symphony Black Tea. In addition, they have chocolate truffles that are infused with their signature teas. Their scones come in both sweet and savory styles.

I love a place that possesses menu items that aren't found in many other eateries. At this café, you will find Chicken Salad Mini Croissants, Cucumber and Cream Cheese on Rye Bread, Roast Beef on White with Mayonnaise and Arugula and Egg Salad Eclairs. Don't be surprised if some of these items aren't on the menu when you visit because they change their menu frequently with other tasty delicacies.

You can also find French Macarons here. Although thought of as French, this cookie actually originated from Venetian monasteries. I wish there was a place like this near me. We do have Sweet Memory, but they have their own unique style.
