I am one of the few people I know who likes oatmeal, glad to find another! I've never tried it with frozen fruit. Do you do that because they are easier to keep on hand than fresh? Or the contrast of heat and cold?
I'm a traditionalist in the Southern style, butter and brown sugar Splenda. No milk. I will have it for any meal!
I saw your upvotes - very kind of you, thank you!

I live in Houston and berries and grapes goes on sale at harvest time. I'll buy a lot but they don't keep - not even a week for berries, sometimes. So, I buy a lot when they were on sale, wash them and freeze them.
I eat my oatmeal hot but by adding a few frozen berries and grapes, it's ready at just the right temperature - still warm oatmeal and chilled - not frozen - fruit.
I am now almost a vegetarian - not because of any philosophical or religious reasons but the body tells me to cut back on meat.
That's a clever idea!
This might be a random thought but I wonder if you've had your blood checked for iron? I have a friend who has had multiple illnesses all his life. Finally, after over 50 years of this, a clever doctor ran tests for iron and found he had too much iron in his blood. Way high readings. And told him that can be an underlying cause of nearly every illness he's had! I forget what they all are but diabetes is one. Easy to treat and maintain, no red meat! May not apply to you but it's easy enough to test for.
