This is my favourite restaurant when it comes to ramen, Ramen Yushoken is located in the heart of A.S Fortuna Mandaue in the Oakridge Business Park, Cebu City , Philippines.
This is my second time here because I am craving for one. Looking at the ambiance, it is neat, cozy yet comfortable. The service is excellent, in addition, the crew was taught to speak basic Japanese term when they welcomed and say goodbye to customers. They are so accommodating!
The food will be served like around 10-15 minutes. I ordered Tonkotsu Shio Ramen for the price of $6.73 + VAT.
I love the giant bowl of my Tonkotsu that can be good for 2 person hehe.:D
Ramen Yoshuken is specialized in "Tonkotsu" or pork bone that is simmered for 12 hours for them to attain the flavourful soup.
Ramen Yushoken has 4 main base sauce forms - Shio, Shoyu, Tantanmen and Miso.
Shio is salt-based soup, where you can savour the broth in its purest.
Shoyu is soy sauce-based, which gives out a bolder taste than the shio.
Tantanmen contains sesame paste with chili oil and ground pork.
Miso is soy bean paste, made by a combination of 7 different kind of miso, that produces a rich texture and a delectable complex taste.
I've been to the different ramen restaurant in Cebu but this is my top Ramen so far that is worth its price! People humming about the Ramen Yoshuken according to most reviews, that this is the best ramen in the metro.
