Hey Steemians, I'm so excited you stopped by!
Today's post is about a meal I though of and gladyly, it came out well. I just felt I have had enough of regular food and wanted to try something new. Here it is!
Ingredients
- Rice
- Fresh Tomatoes
- Fresh pepper
- Snails
- Meat or Chicken
- Coconut milk (fresh)
- Palm oil
- Seasoning cubes
- Onion (1 medium bulb)
- Salt
Procedure
- Chop your onion, slice your tomatoes, and remove the shells from the snails. Blend your fresh pepper, boil your meat or chicken with enough seasonings.
*Parboil your rice and wash out the starch and dirt from it, boil again with the coconut milk until the milk dries up then set aside. - Now, fry your snail with a little salt in palm oil until it looks a little crispy then set aside.
- Use the palm oil used in frying the snail, put in a clean pot and set your heat on medium.
- Add your chopped onion and allow to fry for 2 minutes before adding the sliced tomatoes and blended pepper.
- Fry for 10 minutes then add the fried snails, salt and seasoning to taste.
- Add your meat or chicken (either fried or boiled) and cook for 5 minutes.
- Now, remove the chicken and meat from the sauce and add the rice into the sauce bit by bit until it is finished. (You can choose to eat the white rice with sauce, the way you want it)
- Allow to cook together and set down.
Your meal is ready!
The picture was not taken as I prepared it late at night, just wanted my post to have a picture though.

Looks delicious! I know what I'm making for dinner tonight.
yeah, but be sure to make for just immediate eating, doesn't stay fresh for too long.
Nice food. The real picture would have been better than this. Guess maybe next time you have time to take a shot!
Yea, guess so.
can you explain this , I do not understand
Okay, you put the parboiled rice in a pot after sieving then pour the coconut milk into the pot and set on fire, allow to boil till the milk dries up.
And be sure there are no left overs after cooking because it is best eaten fresh from the fire.
thanks
Niceee...
Wonderful and yummy

Lol, am just so lazy about cooking, may be if i study this really hard, i can start from here haha
There are some that are not cut out for this, it takes having an interest to cook, and having to eat too.
I am not too fond of snails, butI love anything that has coconut milk. Hmmm, I am sure it was delicious.
In that case, you can replace the snail with something you love.
Looks delicious :-)

I'm gonna try this recipe without the snails. Hope it turns out just as delicious.
I guess, but you would be surprise how much one ingredient can change a meal.

As a colleague into cooking, its better to try it out yourself. Each step should have its pictures
Yeah, She made it (thought of the recipe herself!) but couldn't get to take the pictures because it was late.
You said it all. Next time I will take and add pictures.
