That looks sinfully good! :)) What is the texture like? Is it similar to Chinese crullers (you tiao) sans the sugar topping? :)

I would say yes, quite the same texture! Crispy shell with holes inside which is very soft!
Like you dip you tiao in soy milk, i love dipping sfenj in milk tea! Just amazing!
Oooh what a combo!! I actually have dipped youtiao into strong milk tea as well! Makes for an oily tea, but it's pretty worth it hehehe
sfenj sounds like an awesome Mauritian (is that spelled rightly?) twist! :))
Yes you spelled it perfectly @foodie.warrior! It is actually a Moroccan snack and i discovered it thanks to my wife!
oh noo...I got an inkling as I was typing out that reply that sfenj was not from Mauritius, but another country..but I was in a rush and didn't reread through your post to find out...
My bad, @progressivechef..Moroccan!! I'll remember your wife's origins after this one ;)
Now i'm sure you'll never forget both me and my wife! Hahah!
Nor where you're both from ;)
