There is a delicious food in Thai cuisine called Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango. I experimented without really following the rules and my creation was nothing like what's in the restaurants. First, the mango is the wrong type of mango. The type I had wasn't exactly ripe and tasty. The rice was nothing like it should be. I didn't use the right kind of rice and I basically wasn't paying attention. I used regular old everyday rice. It ended up tasting like those arroz con leche pudding things in the hispanic stores. I love those. Anyway, the dish was edible. This shows how important technique and ingredients in some dishes. I look forward to making both arroz con leche and the mango dessert in the future.
