Fish and Chips

in #food7 years ago (edited)

I stopped at an English restaurant. It was a little place with a specialty for a favorite, fish and chips. As I opened the door, I was hit by a wall of delectable smells. It felt so authentic once I was inside that I felt like I was really in the U.K. Some of the customers had British accents adding to the atmosphere.

I loved all their decor throughout the inside. When I ordered, I felt like I had to get the fish and chips. I got an order of each of the two types of fish they offered. The chips in the order are actually French fries but that's what they call them in the U.K. I also got sides if coleslaw and potato to accompany the meal.

I took my meal to go and went home. As we removed our food from the bag we were surprised about how they were packaged. The paper was like newspapers around the food. I was a little dissatisfied with the fish, due to the amount of grease in them. Still, it was an Interesting experience to see how the slight differences from the English culture to our own.

Wow another great restaurant with quality food.

Fish and Chips is one of my guilty pleasures...When it's good...it's so good...but a lot of people don't make it right..where it's too doughy and the batter falls right off...ick...This place looks legit
