Hi Friends... Here I am with a recipe for preparing the delicious 'Mushroom Dry' or 'Mushroom Sukkha', which is a perfect combination with Chapathies or Roties.
Ingredients:
Farm fresh Mushrooms - 200 grams
Coconut powder - 1small cup or 2 table spoons.
Onion - 1(big).
Oil - 2 table spoon
Chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Cummin powder - 1teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1teaspoon
Tomato - 1
Termeric powder -1 pinch
Salt - For taste.
Method for preparation...
Clean and cut the mushrooms. Chop the onions.
Take a fry pan and add the oil of your choice. (Refined oil goes good). Add chopped onions fry till done. Now add coconut powder (grated coconut), and fry it for 2 minutes till it gives a good aroma. Add the mushroom pieces, tomato, all the above mentioned powders, salt and cook on low flame until done. No need to add water, as washed mushrooms and the tomatoes contain a certain amount of water. Add or sprinkle a little water only if you feel that it is burning...
Even adding a spoon full of butter on the top at the end, adds a great taste as well as gives good aroma!
This is a quick recipe and can be done in 10 to 15 minutes and mushroom is a very good source of protein.

One of the best things I like about Southern Indian dishes is the addition of coconut everywhere. I never had an opportunity to taste the combination of coconut and mushrooms.
Unfortunately, mushrooms ain't very acceptable in my community and I buy them only when I'm alone here. But will like to try this sometime. Which mushroom variety is this? Would it come good with Dhingri or Button as well?
Hi @xyzashu... This is Button mushroom with a small stem. We get it here in More Super Market or Big Bazar...
ma'am this looks sooo delicious... I love mushrooms, now you've made me feel like finding and eating some :)
Hi Sir @jznsamuel... You can get good mushrooms in More Supermarket... :)
Mushroom sukka is a very spicy/deliciouse side dish for rice, chappathi or roti's. The dish has good flavours and taste like a non veg mutton sukka.
This is really awesome @geetharao.
