Hey guys, how about a warm and soft babka fresh from the oven????? Oh, with lots of pears!!!
So I like to use visual instruction to show how to do something, rather than say how. You know, like a picture is worth a thousand words and all that. It’s sometimes easier to take pictures than it is to explain and, you may have noticed that, recently I’ve been been adding more GIFs for that purpose. Usually this works out fine, but um, not this time………..
My process pictures of this seemed okay at first until I started editing them. They were such an epic failure in fact, that my mom and I ended up in tears from laughing so hard. Something about the fact that my GIF looked like an autopsy mixed with the fact that it was almost midnight made it extremely comical to us. The whole things seemed like a good idea but apparently the process of twisting a pear babka is best in verbal form….yeah.
So, aside from the fact that I will never again attempt to demonstrate how to twist one of these on camera, I will say that it was amazing. You should definitely make one.
As always, the recipe is available upon request. The first request gets an upvote.

Why am I so hungry right now? :P
Haha, hmmm, I don't know @askaran!
You are right about writing recipe, it can be really hard to explain clearly the steps to your audience, a picture usually works much better to pass on the message!
I would love to see that fail gifs though and have some laugh too!
I've never tasted a pear babka before, but looks really very delicious especially with the caramel!

Looks delicious. Caramel is one of my favourite things. :)
Yes, caramel can make the day so much better. It's obligatory is some circles. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment @sgtechservices
Looks like an amazing combination with a latte macchiato in the afternoon.
Well done. 👍
Yes, Yes, a macchiato, perhaps in the early afternoon. I do try to avoid caffience late in the day and I just don't get the point of decaf. Super great comment, thanks so much @jamjamfood
You are welcome. I normally limit myself to one latte macchiato a day. I think this is a good balance. I do not worry about one coffee with heavy milk load. 😊
this is the kind of post that i would love to make , it would be a pleasure for me to learn from you , not only the recipes because anyone can tell 50g of sugar or 10 drops of oil , but when to add it and how wich one comes first and why things that may come naturaly for a veteran of baking but reaaal good tips for people that wants to improve their cooking , well my point is that i want to take inspiration in your work to start mine ... i have a few dishes in my instagram www.instagram.com/takeru255 feel free to give me any opinion so i can do it better
im now following you i hope we stay in touch
Ohh why am I not part of your family hehe. They are so lucky to have you around! Another beautiful and yummy looking treat!
Come visit me in North Idaho and you'll be part of the family for sure! Thanks so much @amy-goodrich
Thanks gorgeous! I'll def take you up on that offer one day @gringalicious!
I've been away and have missed your recent posts -- so I'll look forward to seeing a gif, even if you didn't put one here. That bread looks so good - pears add a lot! I wonder what kind of pears those are? They are an interesting shape and color. I grow Bosc, Comice, Bartlett, and a couple others, and none of them are quite like your pretty ones. I really like your image of only the pears! That's calendar-worthy!
Aww, thanks so much for super kind words and great commenting you always put out. My Mom actually bought these pairs, and she can't remember the name. So you grow three kinds, that has got to be awesome!
I like what you did there but would you mind to take a video on how you made it? That would really help :) by the way I'm new here in steemit, and i have followed you already, feel free to drop by my profile and see my posts @asbonclz and please upvote my posts :) thanks friend!
