Hi Steemians
Travelling teach us many things. We discover other cultures, languages and different Delicacies. As food plays an important role in our life, we look always for new dishes. Some things that are disgusting for some people, can be delicious for others.

1. Amazonian ants
The most people freak out when they see ants in their kitchen or home. While others find them a part of their food culture. The Brazilian top chef Alex Atala said "An old woman came to me and offered me a bowl of ants. I found the taste amazing, similar to ginger".

6. Witchetty Grub
Native Australians love them and eat them frequently. They are a wonderful source of protein and tastes like almonds.
my dad and my sister likes tuna eyes, they are so good for your skin :)
However the 2. Balut, I can never ever wanna try.....
I didnt try it yet. I tried sheep eyes, but not tuna. But I am same like you! Cant imagine myself trying Balut. I even felt bad while writing about it lol
These are all different than what I normally eat... I personally don't eat a bowl of ants in the morning but if it is part of their culture I doubt it is disgusting to them. Other cultures may look at hot dogs and think the same thing about us (mystery meat from the parts of different animals no one wants to eat) haha
But this is a very interesting post! I didn't know most of these were consumed in other cultures!
Thanks for sharing :)
Yes of course if we get used to eat something we dont find it disgusting. It is a matter of habits.
I didnt know too :) I discovered them today when I got the idea !
Some I would try, but not all.
Anything fried I could do, but not the mushy bits.
Yes exactly :) Sometimes you dont know whats in there lol
