Thanks for that information! I have never eaten a pigeon. I have eaten a lot of mourning doves. They are one of the best meats I have ever eaten, hands down! They are dark, too, like these pigeons look. They are both doves, so maybe they taste a lot alike.
Guess they do. Actually most birds taste good. I have even eaten seagull (not my favorite, but not bad either). The best game casserole I ever had was made with young crows and rooks.
I would bet most birds do taste good. I've eaten crow, literally and figuratively, lol. The literal crow was tastier, for sure! I've never eaten a seagull. I will keep that in mind -- it may come in handy sometime.

Didn't know that expression. Had to look it up. But obviously a saying that is unfair to the crow.
