We have all been there. Always in a rush, five more minutes on the clock, breakfast - well did not really made it, I will have one tomorrow. On the way to work we all eat some super sweet donut and a coffee to go. After few hours we are so hungry that we will eat just about anything. Every year we want to do something about it... Here are five tips how to change it.
1. Instant oatmeal
One of the best and fastest breakfast ever. Our grandparents had to cook oats, but we are step ahead. To have a quality breakfast is now question of few minutes. All we need is a cup or a bowl, microwave and water. Not so bad right? Just add few nuts and dry fruit and viola the healthy breakfast is here.
2. Prepared your meal in advance
Any food might be prepared for future use. Cook twice as much food over the weekend and freeze one half of the food.
Here is a tip for quick food from freezer: Crack one egg on the baking sheet, add bacon, pour cheese over it, and bake for 15 minutes. (It's best to prepare more than one of those portions). Subsequently, add a two slices of bread or baguette and let it cool off and freeze it. In the morning all you need to do is to put one of those portions into the microwave for 45 secs and there's your breakfast.
3. Try the lunch box diet
If you want to be healthy it is necessary to eat healthy. If you do not have time to cook, you should invest into services that brings you a healthy lunch right to your place. They are professionals thus they will prepare a special meny just for you, help you to establish the right amount of food etc. You will, also, have everything the day before, so you will have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the table.
4. Snacks
Most of the time, you do not need a large plate. You just want something. That's because we need to eat every two hours. If we have a small healthy portions of food with us, we wont eat so much (overeat) during lunch time and before we go to sleep. Stop by at a local fruit market and buy fruits and veggies so you can eat them during the day.
5. Organize your time and lear "quickies without cooking".
Organize your day in a way that you save a 30 minute of your time. In this saved half hour learn how to prepare a food for next day. Try for example a pasta salad with tuna. The pasta is done in 10 minutes; in those ten minutes you will prepare yourself veggies. In the rest of the time you mix the tuna with the salad. Quick but also healthy food does not have to be difficult. Try also ingredients that you do not even have to cook! like Couscous, buckwheat, or germinated red lent.
I always try to eat healthy but sometimes it is difficult to stay away from especially chocolate ;)
