Desire to sleep. Exhausted. Are you having the same thoughts during the day, but you can’t get more sleep? Forget about tons of caffeine. I have a few healthy tips, which you will love. Try to change your menu and start eating food that will energize you for the rest of the day! Feel tired? Change what you eat!
The things we eat define us. Thanks to correct menu, we are able to deal with diseases, fat, and also a chronical exhaustion. Some food tends to make us feel sleepy. On the other hand, there are other foods that makes us feel awake, energized and good. If you feel without energy for quite some time, maybe you should try the “anti-sleep menu”.
1. Oats Flakes
Oats flakes are the best breakfast material. It is by far better than cereals or pretty much everything from whole wheat. Oats are considered a super-food, it helps us to digest better. It helps patients to battle and prevents diabetes. What is less known is that oats also help energize the whole body. We are able to digest the oats in no time, that means that our body will get a shot of energy. Oats also contain tremendous amount of vitamins and fibre, but most importantly – potassium. Potassium is great assistant preventing current but also chronical exhaustion.
When and how to eat: The best is to eat oats as the first thing in the morning for immediate refill of energy. I suggest to try the oats with yoghurt or in a milk drink.
2. Bananas
Bananas are perfect for preventing stress and tension. They are best if you want to refill energy and also have a healthy snack. It contains natural sugars, which are easiest to digest. Only a half of banana can improve your mood, refill your energy and improve your concentration.
When and how to eat: Apart from just eating bananas, try for example a banana cocktail, or pressed banana with poppy seeds, nuts, or oats. (To use the squashed banana is also a great alternative for oats instead of yogurt or milk.)
3. Seeds and almonds
Absolutely great alternative against exhaustion is handful of seeds. Not only that crunching them feels great, but it will also helps you refill the necessary energy. The biggest fighter against exhaustion is sesame seed, which even helps you to feel battle depression.
Pressing exhaustion might be chased away by almonds, which are a great source of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and potassium. Thanks to almonds you will start up your organism. Almonds also helps you to battle stress, depression, and anxiety.
When and how to eat: Try to consume the seeds mixed in drinks or in pasta, not only for breakfast, but every time you feel tired or exhausted. You might try the traditional Arabian halva – mixed seeds with honey.
4. Lentil and sprouts
Are you looking for a 100% “pick-me-up” sort of food? Bet on legume. Lentil is cheap alternative of side dish and a healthy snack that is infinite source of energy. It is important in particular for its high content of iron, without which we feel tired and exhausted. If you feel particularly tired or you are preparing yourself for a sleep deprivation, arm yourself with sprouts. You can sprout pretty much everything! Legume, seeds, grains etc. Sprouts are rich of vitamins and protein – most proteins is within a sprouted cicer, mung beans, lentils and peas.
When and how to eat: Lentils prepare in the form of a salad, paste or say Indian curry soup. The best is to eat lentil for lunch or in the form of soup or paste for breakfast. For immediate restore of energy top up you snack with various sprouted beans. You might add them to salads, soups or just eat with bread.
5. Green tea
A correct menu must be filled with some healthy liquids. While you feel tired it is best to drink just a glass of water, alternatively drink a fresh juice. However, the best help provides green tea. Not only green tea is energizing but also very healthy. In spite of black tea, green tea is not fermented, thus it contains healthy ingredients, in particular a great amount of antioxidants.
When and how to drink: I advise to drink green tea regularly during the day and even in the time of a particular, actual exhaustion. Green tea is full of caffeine, which encourage brain activity. According to the server Health it is possible to drink up to five cups of green tea a day.
