Hi everyone,
Working long hours provides me a rare chance during the week to prepare meals but since half-term is just around the corner, I decided to have fun in the kitchen and make falafel burgers for dinner.
(Sorry, most of my photos aren't that great; I am probably just too tired)
To make 10 burger patties, you will need:
- A can of chick peas (drained)
- 300g mushrooms
- 1 onion
- 3-5 tbsp. mild or meduim curry powder
- 2 tbsp. cumin
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- an egg
- olive oil for frying
First, in a bowl, mashed chickpeas using a hand blender.
Next, finely cut the mushrooms and onion
and fry them until soft.
Then, add the cooked vegetables, the spices and in the bowl with the mashed chick peas.
Mix everything up together. Cover with a cling film and let the mixture sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before frying.
Finally, using a little bit of olive oil, fry the patty.
Just get some burger buns and garnish :)
