Is Turmeric a superfood?
It is the plant from which the spice turmeric or koenjit is won. This plant is known for its therapeutic effect and stands firmly at number 1 in the anti-inflammatory system.
The active substance in turmeric is curcumin. The dust is anti-inflammatory, a strong antioxidant and antibacterial. It reflects the many conditions against which coronary can protect or where turmeric can be helpful in the treatment.
Curcumine works against cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. It can also be used to support the treatment by people who already have such a condition.
What is turmeric?
Kurkuma is a spice made of curcuma longa. This is a plant from southeast Asia which is mainly grown in india. Other names for turmeric are Indian carrot, koenir, kurkuma and koenjit. Curcuma longa is a family of the ginger plant. And like ginger, turmeric is made from the root. As a spice, turmeric is especially known in powder form.
How many do you need?
Turmeric is only used in small quantities. One or a few teaspoons is are already sufficient to taste a dish. Because you need so little, the nutritional value of turmeric is negligible. Turmeric contains the important vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, C, D, E and K and there are also some valuable minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium and zinc in turmeric. These vitamins and minerals make turmeric a whole healthy spice.
Where can you buy it?
You can but it everywhere even in the supermarket. It's easy to buy it in the form of powder and if you buy it in an Asian shop, you can even buy it in larger quantities for less money. You can also choose to take turmeric supplementation.

Nice post @ilonavnijnatten I take tumeric everyday...... along with ginger, garlic and moringa leaves...... They are all dried and i take them with hot water everyday..... I believe its very healthy......
