It sounds like a boring and tasteless food. But let me tell you for the record, the end result of carbohydrate metabolism is glucose so if you continue to eat fruits you are still consuming plenty of the stuff. In modern days, the several entertainment systems shows several sugar disadvantages but the truth of the matter is that most are a little misleading. There's sugar - what every carbohydrate food source is eventually converted into during the digestive process - and then there's ADDED sugar. Remember one thing, everything could be bad if consumption is in access. If you know that human beings have always consumed sugar and have had no ill effects from doing so. The difference is that in the past, our sources of sugars - fruits and so forth - came with a TON of fiber as well.
Yes, there could be some contents that slows the release of glucose, which leads to stable blood sugar levels and accordingly, a slow, sustained release of energy. These content also included fiber.
But there is one more thing, in modern days sugar consumption is modern days is too much as compared to old time. Because, in modern days, there are several types of auger foods, where people not able to control over it. So, foods are major problem because they are generally devoid of fiber, which means they are digested very quickly, resulting in rapid increases in blood sugar levels.
