Yes, You read that right. Now you would be wondering that this guy is creating a random post about the Omelette that he made this morning, and that's just to get some extra votes and just for the sake of it.
So I must tell you.
NO!
This is about how you can make your Omelette eggstra delicious. :) Ok. I am going to stop making further puns and would get to start talking about how to make your regular morning breakfast more delicious.
I am going to talk about my recent discovery about how you can add up cheese, mushrooms(obviously, a regular thing) and Chicken sausage to the Omelette, which dwells with the flavor and doubles it up.
Yes, this is what I am talking about. This is what I had this morning in my breakfast, and I can tell you it tasted delicious. Much better than my regular Omelette which I used to eat everyday. So whenever I have extra 10 minutes with me, I go with my better choice of breakfast.
Here is what you need :
- Eggs, Ofcourse :)
- Mushrooms (You can avoid if you don't like mushrooms, I add it because I love 'em) & Chicken sausage
- Small amount of milk (About one tablespoon)
- Salt & Pepper
- Butter
- & Cheese
Preparation
- We start by washing mushrooms thoroughly so that they don't have any dirt on them and would chop mushrooms and Chicken sausage to keep them ready. You can chop them in a medium to small size based on how you would like to eat.
Do note that mushrooms shrink while cooking so you would not want them too small. - Once we have them chopped and ready, we would be moving to our next of beating the sh* out of the egg yolk. ;)
- Take about 2 eggs in a bowl and whisk them
- Add 1 tablespoon of milk, and salt(as per your taste) to it
- and keep whisking until you see a decent amount of froth.
- Once that is ready, it is time for us to turn on the flame. Put the pan on the flame and let it heat up for few seconds.
- Once it is hot, add butter to the pan. Secret ingredient here is to make sure pan is hot enough to melt the butter but is not too hot to burn it. Keep the flame low.
- Add the chopped chicken sausage to the pan(Don't add mushrooms yet). Chicken sausage takes more time as compared to mushrooms to be cooked.
- Keep stirring and flipping the chicken. You would not want some of the burnt pieces of chicken spoil the flavor.
- Once you see chicken sausage turning brownish(-ish being the important word here), you add mushrooms to it, and cook them together.
- After, our mushrooms and chicken sausage is ready, we add the whisked eggs to the mix and let it settle for few seconds. We are doing all this on low flame. Patience is the key
- Now, here is the difficult part. I have wondered for quite a long time, what to do with the extra yolk that is swimming just above which would be hard to cook because by the time flame reaches it, it would burn the bottom part of the Omelette. Here is the catch I learnt few weeks back, keep digging holes in between the Omelette so that extra yolk can make way to the bottom.
- While your Omelette is being cooked, you get hold of a cheese cube and grate it and keep it ready.
- Once you see, your Omelette is 'almost' ready add some fresh pepper and, the cheese that we just grated and sprinkle it across spread of the Omelette.
- You would need to keep moving the turner under the Omelette to ensure it doesn't stick to the pan.
- Wait for few seconds until you see your Omelette is fluffy and ready.
- And finally, when it's ready you use the turner to turn the Omelette three ways, just you would fold a letter before putting it in an envelope.
- And, Breakfast is served.
I know a bit overcooked, because I was too busy preparing as well as clicking photographs but I really loved the dwelling taste of cheese and chicken along with my Omelette
I hope you would try it and like it. If you try it out, do share your results and how it turned out to be. :)
